READ MOREly striking and the focus is entirely on the colour, devoid as it is of any extra embellishment such as a pattern or oft-found white stripe. The blue is bright and radiant, almost electric blue but without any hint of neon and there’s a lot of red in it too so there’s more warmth to the colour than you might expect. It’s going to look wonderful in a contemporary space, amidst granite or polished concrete but if your garden is more traditional and the colour makes your heart sing then there’s no reason why you can’t make it work – small touches of the colour around it will really pull the whole look together, so think cushions or throws, and plants like periwinkle, delphinium or hydrangea or Caryopteris Heavenly Blue.
